DIY Idea: Pinecone Christmas Tree

Remember the centerpiece I made for my most recent dessert table?

Well, here is the promised tutorial on how to recreate it.
1. Gather your supplies
Styrofoam Cone
Pinecones
Wire cutters
Brown spray paint
Optional: small ornaments

2.  Paint the cone brown and let it dry.

3. Wrap 6-8 inch piece of floral wire around a pinecone, as close the base as possible.

4.  Twist the wire tightly together all the way to the end.

5.  Ben the wire back so it sticks straight off the base of the pinecone. Dip the twisted wire in some Tacky Glue.

6.  Insert the glued wire into the Styrofoam cone, starting at the base and working your way up to the top.

7. I found little mini red ornaments helpful for filling in gaps.

Please let me know if you give this a try!
