Real Party: Holiday Dinner Party

I told you about our friends' annual "Christmas Dinner" a few days ago.
Dinner was delicious and as expected the decor was beautiful. Enjoy the pictures...

The table was adorned with magnolia leaves. My friend Katie is so creative! They were beautiful; and the sturdy, earthy foliage provided a perfect back drop for all the little festive touches.

Candles, glass ornaments, and sparkly bead strings were tucked in among the leaves.
Some of the leaves were even painted silver.

Sparkly placesettings.  I love the silver leaf napkin rings.

Magnolia leaves and candles continued on the mantle.

Our hostess even made this gorgeous wreath that hung above the fireplace.

The stunning tree was covered in purple and silver ornaments of all shapes and sizes.
Clear ornaments with family pictures were also on the tree. If you haven't already, see this post. These were incorporated into our hosts' wedding earlier this year, and it is definitely an idea worth seeing.

Please check back tomorrow!
I will share the recipe for the cake I brought to the party. It is to die for (and easy!).
