This holiday weekend two of my good friends were married. Their event was spectacular, with lots of fabulous little details that I cannot wait to share. This couple thought of everything.
Purple and green were used throughout, with a lot of earthy elements to fit the outdoor setting.

The ceremony took place in a Redwood grove, next to a small lake. This space was gorgeous alone, but the flowers and lanterns added to the beauty.
Elegant and earthy bouquets
Little cuties with moss ring pillows
The Happy New Mr. and Mrs.
Cocktail hour took place outside the barn, near a small pond. Beer, wine, and the couple's signature Mojito's were flowing.
Adorable little centerpieces for the cocktail hour.
Guests received table assignments, and then located their table on this map. Tables were named after trees, a nod to the lush surroundings. The couple constructed the map out of thin slices of birch wood. Isn't it amazing?
I loved this idea! Clear fillable ornaments held pictures of the bride and groom and their families. Quite a display for guests to peruse during the cocktail hour.
It is difficult to see in this photograph, but the pictures were printed on transparency sheets (like for the overhead projector your high school teacher used ). The clear pictures gave the whole display a whimsical look. This idea could be used at so many different parties- just think of the possibilities!
One of the most unique features of the venue was the little train that circled the property. Guests (both adults and children) took rides during the cocktail hour.
The cocktail hour ended when the couple made a grand entrance from the train. So fun!
Please check back tomorrow for details of the reception. Wait until you see the centerpieces! See ya then!
